Questa è la storia di due persone che hanno in comune una grande passione: viaggiare!
Perché partire proprio da questo punto? …. Perché questa è la storia di due che si sono cercati nel mondo prima di poter saper quale passione li avrebbe legati!
Prima di partire per la tua meta esplorala con l’immaginazione, percorrine le strade, immagina volti, delizia il tuo palato, respira quell’aria… , poi parti per quel luogo!

Quando tre anni e mezzo fa da Barcellona sono arrivata a Bilbao, mi sono data il benvenuto con una sola speranza: “Adesso tocca a te Bilbao, stupiscimi”. Lì ho conosciuto un uomo dalle mille sorprese, dagli orizzonti vasti e dalla più meravigliosa curiosità. Lì ho conosciuto un viaggiatore alla scoperta di nuove terre, un esploratore dagli occhi pieni di luce. Lì ho conosciuto quello che sarebbe diventato mio marito!

Voglio raccontare di un viaggio speciale per le strade del Messico, in particolar modo per le strade dello Yucatán, una terra piena di storia e di ricordi, così assordanti da sentirne l’eco per le strade!

Chichen Itzà
Tra i siti Maya più belli c’è Chichen Itzà, una delle sette meraviglie del mondo moderno dal 2007.
Il suo nome deriva dalle parole maya “chi” (bocca), “che’en” (pozzo), “Itza” (mago) e “ha” (acqua), quindi “bocca del pozzo dei maghi dell’acqua” con riferimento al Cenote Sagrado considerato la porta dell’aldilà. Pelle d’oca e tanto stupore tra la pirami di Kukulkan, l’osservatorio astronomico ed il Tempio dei guerrieri.

Valladolid.
Tra Mérida e Cancún, non lontana dalle rovine maya di Chichen Itzà, c’è la coloniale Valladolid. Questa fu costruita sulle rovine dell’antico centro cerimoniale maya di Zaci.
Tra i colori pastello e l’atmosfera vintage ti sentirai lontano dalle preoccupazioni e la tua vita ti sembrerà lontanissima! Un mix tra realtà ispanica e messicana, una rivisitazione degli anni passati in chiave moderna.
Al centro della città c’è il Parque Francisco Cantón Rosado, dove troverete la chiesa di San Servacio; ci sono ben sette Chiese colonialin a Valladolid che hanno contribuito a darle il soprannome di “Sultana d’Oriente”.

Cenotes.

In questa zona ci sono moltissimi Cenotes, grotte carsiche alimentate da fiumi sotterranei. I Cenotes erano considerati una fonte di vita per i Maya, rappresentavano un ingresso all’altro mondo e centro di comunione con gli dèi.

Biosfera di Sian Ka’an.
La riserva della biosfera di Sian Ka’an (il cui nome significa Porta del cielo), caratterizzata dalle sue piscine naturali, distese di mangrovie da attraversare a bordo delle lance (tipiche imbarcazioni a fondo piatto) cercando con lo sguardo uccelli, delfini, stelle marine e tartarughe. Qui inoltre si trova

la seconda più grande barriera corallina al mondo, dopo quella australiana. Tra le meraviglie più paradisiache viste!

La giornata si è conclusa con un meraviglioso pranzo su un’isola di pescatori di 460 anime, un luogo dove regna una pace inspiegabile, dove l’incontro con la natura e te stesso è obbligatorio!

Non basterebbe un intero libro per poter raccontare questa meravigliosa esperienza, ma è bastato per farci tornare pieni di desiderio di viaggiare!

Una terra profumata ed un popolo pieno d’amore!
